Jason Jilg is a Kearney, NE based photographer. 

Jason was born in Central Nebraska in 1977.  After traveling extensively for the military, Jason attended school in Minnesota.  He holds a Bachelors degree in Emergency Management and Fire Science.  He returned to Nebraska in 2002 with a whole new appreciation of the Midwest area.  He moved to Kearney in 2007 where his fiancé lives and works.

His photography has grown from a hobby to a profession over the past couple of years.

He is self taught artist, but a diligent student.  Jason derives pleasure from both the exploration for great photographs, and the pleasure those photographs give their viewers.  He has a number of ongoing personal projects.

Jason has been accepted into many juried exhibitions and won a number of merits including these recent ones:

His most recent accomplishment was having the LaGrange Art Museum acknowledge his work by purchasing a piece of his work for their permanent collection.  He has also sold a number of pieces to private collections.

 

When not working on personal projects Jason does family, business, and individual lifestyle portraits; advertising and product photography; and editorial travel photography.
